Gunlancer is very tanky and a great balance in consideration of the warrior class. Scrapper is a well balanced class.Soulfist is a pretty challenging class to play optimally and the two builds require different skillsets to pilot so when I have the resources I'll definitely set-up a robust spirit gearset for fun. It has really strong burst. When you're not in hype level 3 your damage isn't very good but you can focus on peeling for teammates until you have your burst back up.My favourite class is arcanist, but it's not really a good choice for a new player. Very investment heavy and takes quite a bit of practice to pilot it. Personally, I'd suggest picking a DPS class as your first for the story, getting to Punika and then boosting a support with the Punika pass.
